Dressing Up is Half the Fun

“That’s why I’m here.” Max tugged teasingly on a long bit of Ravi’s hair. “The boss man shooed me out of my place and told me not to come back until at least Monday. It’s not that big of a deal. I mean, I had to finish everything by tomorrow anyway.”

“Did you get everything done?”

“Mostly, there were a couple of details on Hitomi’s harem boy costume that I didn’t get to finish but I don’t think he’ll notice.”

“Meh. Kale should have done that sooner.”

“Ravi...”

“Sorry, but I missed you.” Ravi crawled in beside Max and snuggled close. “Did you eat yet? I can fix you something if you’re hungry.”

“I ate before I came. Thanks, though.” Max rested his head against Ravi’s shoulder and sighed contentedly. “Oh, I missed this.”

“I did, too. This place gets kind of lonely without you around.” Ravi rubbed Max’s shoulder gently. He loved the contrast when they were together; Max’s pale skin looked so good against the darker honey brown of his own.

“Ravi, we’ve been through this...”

“I’m not trying to get you to move in, love.” Ravi would have loved it if he could wake up next to his pretty lover every morning, but he didn’t push the matter. This was the first time he had Max all to himself in weeks and Ravi was not going to spoil it with a fight. “I don’t care where you live as long as we’re together.” That seemed to settle things, but Ravi thought it was a good time as any to change the subject. “Did you show anyone your wings, yet?”

Max smiled at that. “I did. Everyone liked them.”

“They do look good on you.” Ravi trailed his fingers over Max’s back, tracing over the dark feathers tattooed there. It was his art work, forever imprinted on his lover’s skin. Ravi was still amazed that Max trusted him enough to let him do that. “Roll over, I want to see if it healed up all right.”

Max shifted onto his stomach and glanced over his shoulder. “It should be fine. It’s not hurting, though it was itching like crazy until last week.”

It had taken almost ten hours to do, but it had been worth it. Black angel wings covered Max’s back, from shoulder to waist. Ravi loved how they looked on his lover’s lithe frame.

“Yeah, that happens. There’s no fading or ink bleed, though, which is good.” Ravi leaned closer, examining his work. “I’d say that you get an ‘A’ in tattoo after care.”

“I just did everything you told me to do. It wasn’t hard.” Max rolled over and gave Ravi a sweet little smile.

“Still, I think you deserve a reward for that.” Ravi brushed his thumb teasingly over Max’s nipple.
