The apartment was quiet except for the soft and slightly random music playing on the radio. Aoi was at work and Itsuki was out somewhere, which left Aya with a day to himself. It was a perfect time for a little spring cleaning, okay summer cleaning.
All the cookbooks went back on the shelf in the kitchen and the DVDs that were scattered all over the apartment were neatly stacked on the coffee table to be sorted later. That left Aya with the void, that Aoi and Itsuki liked to call a couch.
Sure it was comfortable, but Aya was pretty damned sure that the couch ate things, or at least hid them between its cushions. Last time Aya cleaned out the couch, he found one of those compressed air canisters. No one remembered buying one of those but there it was. That made Aya curious as to what else he might find in there.
Aya sat himself on the floor and slid his hand cautiously under the cushions. He pulled out two packets of soy sauce, a half empty bottle of lube and a pair of boxers with happy faces on them. Ah, Aoi was looking for those.
The front door creaked open, but Aya was too busy to look up. It had to be Aoi or Itsuki and he would know soon enough which of his lovers it was.
“Aya-love, are you home?”
“Over here, Itsuki.”
The kitsune bounced over and gave him a curious look. “What are you doing?”
“Cleaning… oh, and why was there soy sauce in the couch?”
“Maybe the couch was hungry? I don’t know.” Itsuki shrugged. He turned and picked up the top hat that Aya had found on top of the refrigerator. “Where did this come from?”
“Who knows, I found it on the fridge.” Aya stood and dusted his hands off.
“It’s not mine, that’s for sure...” Itsuki tried to put the hat on but it wouldn’t fit over those foxy ears of his.
“It wouldn’t be the first thing that just appeared in this place.”
“True enough.” Itsuki tossed the top hat onto the couch and scooped Aya up in his arms. “Come on, I think it’s time you took a break. It’s been way to long since I had you all to myself.”
